Dance Details: Lines, Engagement, Extension
Learn how to be intentional about your movements with muscle engagement and establishing mind-body connections! We will go over how it feels and looks to engage our legs, glutes, arms, and abs, and then do some simple conditioning exercises for each body part. We will be deliberate and patient with our motions, working towards extension and grace in the lines of the body. Emphasis is not on exact positioning, but rather on intentional, engaged movement, which can be used in any style of dance. A very short, simple choreo will be taught at the end of class so that students can practice what they've been working on. Beginner level with options to add intensity offered!
